Hombres y mujeres toman las calles. Ellos, los Atorrak, por la ma\u00f1ana y vestidos con falda, blus\u00f3n y pantalones blancos, y una funda a modo de capucha y pa\u00f1uelo de colores; y ellas, las <em>lamiak<\/em>, por la tarde, vestidas de negro y con el rostro maquillado de blanco. La m\u00fasica es otra de las grandes protagonistas, porque tanto los atorrak como las lamiak animan el ambiente con alegres melod\u00edas.<\/p>\n<p>Una tradici\u00f3n ancestral, en la que es danzas vascas. Son la esencia de nuestro folclore y est\u00e1n presentes en todas las fiestas y eventos importantes de nuestros pueblos. Labores que se realizaban habitualmente en los caser\u00edos se convirtieron en <em>desaf\u00edos<\/em> entre vecinos o para ver quien ten\u00eda mayor habilidad o lo realizaba en el menor tiempo. Por eso es m\u00e1s habitual que esta tradici\u00f3n se mantenga m\u00e1s en pueblos que en ciudades.<\/p>\n<p>Corte de troncos, levantamiento de piedra, pelota vasca, sokatira, arrastre de piedra por bueyes, barrenadores, segadores, recogida de mazorcas, regatas\u2026Son deportes que requieren de gran fuerza f\u00edsica y resistencia. De entre todos ellos, los que gozan de mayor popularidad y seguidores en la actualidad son la pelota a mano, y las regatas, con un gran n\u00famero de seguidores, de todas las edades.<\/p>\n<p>Unido al deporte rural est\u00e1n tambi\u00e9n las apuestas. Es habitual que se realicen apuestas en los diferentes enfrentamientos del deporte rural, entre el p\u00fablico y entre los propios protagonistas.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/div>\n<style Unos deciden celebrarlo en Bermeo, otros en Elantxobe, y quienes tienen embarcaci\u00f3n, tienen la suerte de unirse al cortejo oficial y disfrutar de una animada traves\u00eda. Son coplas en euskera sobre el misterio de la navidad y el nacimiento de Jes\u00fas. Gautegiz Arteaga, Ea, Ibarrangelu, Muxika o Gernika son los pueblos que conservan esta tradici\u00f3n. En muchas ocasiones son los ni\u00f1os quienes la mantienen, a cambio de una \u201climosna\u201d el \u00faltimo d\u00eda de ronda.<\/p>\n<p>En Gernika-Lumo los marijeses gozan de una gran tradici\u00f3n y expectaci\u00f3n. Salen a cantar a las 4 de la madrugada, voces adultas que endulzan el sue\u00f1o de quienes descansan en sus hogares. Si a todo ello le sumamos un entorno id\u00edlico y m\u00edstico, la noche de San Juan alcanza niveles supraterrenales. Muchos municipios de Urdaibai cumplen con los rituales propios de la noche de San Juan para dar la bienvenida al verano. En Mundaka, al anochecer, una kalejira y la \u201csorgin dantza\u201d son \u00a0preludio del inevitable final de la bruja, su quema en la atalaya, en una gran fogata. Una noche en la que el fuego, el mar y la bella Mundaka se funden para crear una atm\u00f3sfera de espiritualidad. Tambi\u00e9n en Bermeo se vive con devoci\u00f3n esta noche de San Juan. El ambiente comienza a caldearse desde la tarde, con una kalejira por las principales calles, hasta llegar a Goiko plaza, donde sonar\u00e1n los compases de los bailes y c\u00e1nticos previos al encendido. Al d\u00eda siguiente, la festividad del santo se traslada a San Juan de Gaztelugatxe, con el peregrinaje hasta la singular ermita, donde se celebran varias misas desde primera hora y a donde muchos
